Backloading is when you book the available truck space on an interstate removalist truck that’s already booked with a primary load. It often means you may have to be slightly flexible on your pickup and delivery dates & times, but in turn it usually means big cost savings! Another benefit of backloading is that moving trucks are always available. Moving this way can allow you to take advantage of interstate removals truck space if you need to move on short notice. It is by far the most cost-effecitve way to book an interstate removals service if you have to move interstate.

It is preferred if you or your representative to be present at the pickup and drop off.

Packing and unpacking boxes for your house is not usually included by default when you book a removalist. This is a service that needs to be booked separately (you can do this through Muval) or done yourself, and is best arranged for a day or two before your removalist is scheduled to do your uplift.

In our experience, people always dramatically under estimate the time it takes to pack their house, and it's usually one of the most burdensome tasks of moving! If you're packing yourself, make sure you start early and do a couple of boxes a day. Otherwise, save yourself the hassle and book packing services through Muval. Your future self will thank you.

If your booking is a premium service, the company will be able to provide exact timing. If your booking is a shared option, then your schedule will be a window between two to seven hours on the move day.

If you need to change the delivery or pick up date, please advise the removalist as early as possible. They can sometimes accommodate changes and reschedule but this has a few variables. 

Yes. This varies depends on which company you are using. Usually, the minimum charge is based on the cost of transporting 5 cubic metres.

No one expects that you keep the original box that your TV came in when you bought it. Most removalists can provide special TV moving cardboard boxes that can help to keep your TV safe and secure while being transported (make sure you enquire about this before your move day. Otherwise, you can protect your television by wrapping it in blankets and then wrapping that tightly in cling film. Finally, as a peace of mind measure, we recommend purchasing one of our affordable moving insurance policies to protect your most valuable possessions like your TV in case of an accident.

The packing service is not included in our standard pricing. Please check with our support team to get a quotation.

It depends on your volume and which carrier we are using for your move. Some companies can delay the delivery by a day for an extra fee, but others may not be able to if the truck is only passing by your address and must continue driving.
